​Born in New Haven, Connecticut, Troy “Troop” Marshall has been capturing photographic images for over twenty years. His passion for watching and waiting for life to happen stemmed from his childhood reflections of family photos lost in a house fire, which inspired his deep-rooted ambition to grasp photo stories in images. Troy discovered that photo stories bring the viewer into that moment in time while maintaining the beauty of a natural environment. Troy believes that if you wait and gaze at the beauty of a great picture, people will eventually forget the camera is near, and the photographer can capture the essential vulnerability that may be hidden and essential to telling a story.
